National Library Week 2026 is underway, running from April 19–25 with the theme “Find Your Joy,” which highlights the essential role libraries play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. This past weekend I volunteered at the Forest Park Public Library and it was a complete joy! Sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA), this annual celebration features special days, including National Library Workers Day, and encourages visiting libraries to explore resources.
