It’s that wonderful time of year again! No, I’m not talking about Fall, although I do love Fall. It’s National Nanny Recognition Week 2018 and I’m ready to celebrate all of the hard-working, talented, loving nannies out there! National Nanny Recognition Week began in 1998, and we are still celebrating 20 years later and rightfully so. Nannies are often the unsung heroes of families around the world everyday.

The nanny profession is often trivialized and not given the proper respect it deserves. However, nannies deserve the utmost esteem and admiration for the grueling work that they do all day, everyday. It isn’t easy not only making sure a child’s physical, cognitive, and social-emaotional needs are met, but also flourishing while keeping the child or children safe.
